Imitation and Translation in the Travel of a Global Education Model: the Case of the Masters in Business Administration

چکیده

Using the lens of Institutional Logics this paper considers the diffusion and translation of the Anglo American MBA as a global idea in China. The application of Institutional Logics allows us to review the conclusions of Mazza et al., (2007) and Clegg et al., (2005), who stress the prevalence of local translations of the MBA as it travels globally. Our study highlights two dominant institutional -market logic and transnational logic -that exert influence upon the MBA in China.
